Ein mittelgro\u00dfes F\u00e4hrboot schippert uns in einer netten, kleinen, rund 2 \u00bd-st\u00fcndigen Fahrt zu unserem heutigen, sehr h\u00fcbsch am Seeufer gelegenen Hotel (Ausblick!). Der Nam Ngum ist der zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte Stausee Laos, Stromlieferant und Trinkwasserreservoir Vientianes und von den Hauptst\u00e4dtern ein gern genutztes Naherholungsgebiet. An seiner S\u00fcdseite schlie\u00dft sich das Naturschutzgebiet Phou Khao Khouay NPA an, in dem sich noch wild lebende Elefanten, Tiger, B\u00e4ren, usw. tummeln.<\/p>\n<p>Wir lassen das mit dem Elefant-watching, den Tiger haben wir sowieso selbst im Tank \ud83d\ude09 und unser Kontakt mit sonstigem Getier beschr\u00e4nkt sich heute auf den Genuss von Fisch und Seafood in einem der vielen, am Seeufer gelegen, sehr guten  Restaurants. Lazy Tuesday ist angesagt. <\/p>\n<p>Wurde \u00fcberhaupt schon ein Hohelied auf die laotische K\u00fcche angestimmt? Die kann, findet man die richtigen L\u00e4den, durchaus mit den anderen gro\u00dfen Dreien (Ch, Th, V) mithalten. Gut, vielleicht fehlt&#8217;s da oder dort an Finesse und die Speisen sind bodenst\u00e4ndiger, aber &#8222;g&#8217;schmachig&#8220;, wie Meister Schuhbeck zu sagen pflegt, ist das Essen allemal. Und notabene: man wird sich schwer tun, in Frankreich noch so herrlich &#8222;resche&#8220; Baguettes aufzutreiben wie in Laos. Da wird halt noch nach Altv\u00e4ter Sitte gebacken &#038; gekocht.
