Von Volker H\u00e4ring.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Die Erwartungen waren hoch: Nachdem wir schon vor drei Tagen nahezu autofrei nach Riga geradelt waren, die Stadtrundfahrt mit dem Rad auch deutlich angenehmer war als in Vilnius (was aber auch daran lag, dass Aija, unsere F\u00fchrerin in Riga, deutlich sensibler durch die Stadt fuhr als ihr Kollege Frank in Vilnius!), sollte die Ausfahrt aus Riga doch eigentlich genauso angenehm gestaltet sein, oder?<\/p>\n<p>Jein.<\/p>\n<p>Das Bem\u00fchen ist deutlich, und so fahren wir tats\u00e4chlich auf relativ guten Radwegen, einer davon sogar baulich getrennt auf der ehemaligen Fahrbahn (auf dem dann aber prompt ein SUV parkt, wie auch immer er dahin gekommen ist \u2013 wir unterstellen kriminelle Absicht\u2026).<\/p>\n<p>Nach knapp 10 Kilometern fahren wir sogar auf H\u00f6he des Zoos in ein Parkgel\u00e4nde, das ideale Bedingungen f\u00fcr Fu\u00dfg\u00e4nger und Radfahrer bietet \u2013 w\u00e4re da nicht eine baulich bedingte Sperrung des Radwegs und die Abwesenheit einer beschilderten Umleitung. Aber auch diese H\u00fcrde meistern wir Dank modernster Navigationstechnik: Nase in den Wind und zuweilen auf dem GPS. Mensch und Maschine, die perfekte Einheit! Radfahrer eben! &#x1f609;<\/p>\n<p>Einen Schlenker durch den Hafen, ein paar Kilometer auf einer Europastra\u00dfe, dann wieder malerische Datschenviertel, viel Wald, ein wenig Ostsee.<\/p>\n<p>Und dann, wie eine Fata Morgana: Ein Fahrradmuseum. Dort erwartet uns die erste richtige Bergpr\u00fcfung der Tour, fast hundert H\u00f6henmeter mit bis zu 11 Prozent Steigung und dann das Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Leider erst einmal das falsche, da unsere litauische Agentur die Unterkunft ge\u00e4ndert hat, ohne es mir mitzuteilen. Also einmal quer durch Sigulda, in die Au\u00dfenbezirke, dann in die Pampa. Anruf beim Fahrer, umdrehen, wieder zur\u00fcck, sechs Kilometer Zusatzstrecke.<\/p>\n<p>Oder wie Stefan trocken bemerkt: Gesamttourtechnisch keinen Kilometer Umweg. Schlie\u00dflich bleibt die Summe der geplanten Touren heute und morgen gleich.<\/p>\n<p>Konkret hei\u00dft das: Schmutzbier im Hotel Pils. Und auch wenn das zu einem launischen Wortspiel einl\u00e4dt: Pils hei\u00dft Schloss. Bezieht sich aber leider auf eine Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeit in der N\u00e4he und nicht auf unser Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Passt aber trotzdem!<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t\t\t#gallery-2
